Adoption Profile: Dave & Corinne
Dave
Dave is the second oldest of five kids and was raised Catholic. He is very friendly, spontaneous, laid back and has a great sense of humor. He is a Master Electrician and owns his own company which allows him to have a lot of flexibility with his schedule. As the handyman of the family, he remodeled our kitchen last year and has helped other family members with various home remodeling and repairs. He volunteers his time at our church helping with various projects and working with the youth. Dave likes working in the yard, grilling out in the summer on our patio, doing any type of handiwork and watching old movies of “The Three Stooges”.
Corinne
Corinne is an only child and was also raised Catholic. She is very organized and goals oriented. She is the kind of person that takes the lead and is not afraid to speak her opinion. She spent six years in the Ohio Army National Guard in the Medical Corp and completed her military obligation in 1993. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BBA in Accounting and currently works as a Senior Manager of Finance/Business Consultant at a large Corporation in Ohio. Her job allows her to have flexible hours and work from home on certain days. Corinne loves to cook, do scrapbooking, play the piano, work in the garden and sing in the church choir.
Our Family
We have been married for 11 years and we attend Catholic Church together on a regular basis. Family is very important to us and both of our families live nearby, so we spend a lot of time doing fun family things together. The holidays are extra special including celebrations with both of our families and extended relatives. We especially love spending time with our 5 nieces and 3 nephews. We love playing with our 2 cats (ages 6 & 7) who are very friendly and they enjoy getting visits from the neighbor kids. We both enjoy going to the movies, hiking, working in the yard together, and going to orchestra concerts and plays.
Our Home
Ten years ago we built our two story home (which has 4 bedrooms and a large patio in the backyard) in a nice subdivision that has several ponds with ducks and geese. Our street is somewhat like a cul-de-sac but it’s shaped like a horse shoe with two entrances instead of being a dead end street. We have a nice big flat yard with plenty of room for kids to play and there are several families with children that live on our street in the subdivision. We live close to our church and the local schools.
