Jay & Julie Adoption Profile: Jay & Julie

Jay

Jay is very handsome man with a warm smile, hazel eyes and brown hair.  He has a great sense of humor and is very outgoing.  He can make conversation with anyone, anywhere.   He likes to try new things and has fun visiting new places, relaxing on the beach, sight seeing and hiking in the woods.  At home, he likes to do home improvement projects and when there aren’t any at our house, he is always willing to help out a friend with a project.  Jay is patient and compassionate.  He enjoys teaching (junior high science).

Julie

Julie is petite and very cute.  She has a smile and a sparkle in her eye that can light up the room.  She is short with light green eyes and long brown hair.  Julie has a great sense of humor, she doesn’t have much of a choice married to me!  She has a playful “evil” laugh when she is up to no good that makes me smile every time I hear it.  Yet, she is quite conservative.  Julie isn’t flashy with the latest clothing fashions or the newest in jewelry or perfume.  Julie likes the simple things in life.  She likes being home with me, Zach and the dog, curled up reading or just watching TV.

Our Family:

We adopted our son Zachary in 2007 and have enjoyed every minute with him.  He is a very active boy who loves firetrucks, super heroes and pirates.  As a family we enjoy camping.  We will travel numerous times over the summer to get away from life’s many distractions and focus on each other.  We enjoy the local hiker/biker trails, walking in the creek looking for fossils and watching our dog protect us from the many squirrels jumping from tree to tree.

Julie’s parents live on a farm in northern Ohio.  Great for tractor rides with Grandpa.  Family gatherings are always crazy with her 5 sisters and brothers, spouses and the grandkids.  Jay’s parents, brother, sister ands spouses live in Florida.  It is a nice place to visit and play during a long, cold winter.

Since we are both the oldest child, we look forward to Zach having a sibling, since we don’t know what life is like being an only child.

Our Home:

We live in a northeastern suburb of Cincinnati.  Our house has a fenced in yard with a swingset and lots of trees.  It backs up to greenspace with mature trees, lots of walking trails and a meandering creek.  We have a very long driveway which is nice for bike riding and chalk drawings.
